San Cisco are set to bring their signature indie pop sound to the stage of the rescheduled WA Day Festival next weekend.

The Fremantle trio — Jordi Davison, Scarlett Stevens and Josh Biondillo — will join the all-WA line-up for the free, family-friendly event at Burswood Park on Sunday, November 24.

It replaces the event which was cancelled in June due to wet weather.

Event organisers have promised a day full of entertainment, featuring a drone light show, fireworks, carnival rides and food trucks.

There will also be performances from Eskimo Joe, Great Gable, Noah Dillon, Maatakitj, Angie Colman and Anna Schneider.

RTR FM general manager Simon Miraudo said the line-up, curated by the community radio station, was a chance to showcase a range of well-loved and emerging bands.

“We are pumped to have a day dedicated to some of the best music WA is producing,” he said.

“The music industry has shifted so significantly it’s really special have this opportunity to profile those acts we really believe in and we want people to support WA acts not because its homework or they feel obligated to, what we believe is WA music is among the best in the world.

“This is an opportunity to find your next favourite artist.”

The return of the drone show will light up both the night sky and imagination with 500 drones showcasing images and activities from around the State.

Set to a WA-themed musical score there will be plenty of spots to see the show.

Celebrate WA Chairman Scott Jones said the festival provided an opportunity for the community to come together and celebrate our State ahead of summer.

“With winter far behind us this November, we anticipate a vibrant turnout for the festival with local music, local businesses and families all set to join the festivities and share in our pride for Western Australia,” he said.

The June event was cancelled after 50mm of rain left Burswood Park unfit to host the event at which Guy Sebastian, Eskimo Joe, The Waifs and Pond were scheduled to perform.

Last year, festival headliner Amy Shark was forced to cancel her performance after torrential rain drenched the crowd.

The WA Day Festival, which is made possible thanks to support from the WA Government, Lotterywest and BHP, will be held in conjunction with The West Test between Australia and India at Optus Stadium on the same day.

Patrons are encouraged to take advantage of the free public transport available to Burswood Park as part of fare free Sundays for all Smartrider holders
