Crown Towers Perth: Hotel crowned Australia’s only Forbes Five Star rated luxury accommodation
Crown Towers Perth has become the only hotel in Australia to achieve a coveted Five Star rating following Forbes Travel Guide’s 2025 Star Awards.
Trumping its brothers Crown Towers Melbourne and Sydney respectively, as well as revered names like the Ritz-Carlton and Park Hyatt, the rating pins the local product as the pinnacle of luxury in the State and nation.
Crown Perth’s Interim CEO Brian Pereira reflected on what the award means to the resort, and why he believes it was recognised among the best in the world.
“We are honoured to have Crown Towers Perth recognised as a Five-Star hotel, by the global authority in luxury hospitality. An understated, timeless delivery of luxury is at the heart of the hotel’s philosophy and this award is testament to that,” Mr Pereira said.
“It is our amazing team who deliver this world class service and work hard to elevate our properties to the next level and truly support Crown as Perth’s ultimate entertainment destination.”
To achieve Five Star status from Forbes Travel Guide — the only independent global rating system for luxury hotels — up to 900 rigorous standards must be met.
An inspector from the organisation stays anonymously for two nights and three days to meticulously evaluate the service delivered by hotel staff, as well as the overall experience.
A key measure is the hotel’s ability to deliver service beyond the expectations of guests.
“This year’s list continues to reflect the changing landscape of luxury with properties setting the standard for authentic experiences while offering unparalleled amenities, enhanced well-being and delivering unforgettable moments,” Amanda Frasier, President of Ratings for Forbes Travel Guide said.
“We are thrilled to recognise their dedication to creating truly world-class travel options for today’s discerning guest.”
Recognised by the travel juggernaut for its “understated glamour”, guests at Crown Towers Perth are greeted by an 8000-piece ceramic mosaic upon arrival, with the WA-inspired interior designed to mirror our State’s natural beauty.
A stay at the resort is not complete without gazing out at the city skyline from the Crystal Club with a drink in hand, enjoying a dip at the outdoor lagoon pools, and a day of pampering at Crown Spa.
Fine dining options are also just a stone’s throw from WA’s “undisputed destination resort”, with Nobu, Bistro Guillame and Rockpool Bar & Grill just a few options.
This is the sixth time Crown Towers Perth has been awarded the Five Star rating courtesy of Forbes Travel Guide.
A total of 335 hotels from across the globe achieved similar status, including 79 in the US alone.
Perth’s COMO The Treasury was recognised with a Four Star rating, along with Capella Sydney, The Darling, The Langham Sydney, Park Hyatt Melbourne, and Park Hyatt Sydney as other recognised luxury stays in Australia.
In 2024, Crown Towers Melbourne, Crown Towers Perth, and Crown Spa Sydney shared the Five Star maximum rating nationally.
