As another enthralling WAFL season draws to a close a piece of WAFL history will be inside Monday’s The West Australian with our free grand final posters.

Designed by our signature West Australian artists the posters will capture all the glory of Sunday’s victors in what shapes up to be a fascinating contest.

East Perth have been the form team of the competition claiming the minor premiership after downing Peel by 20 points in the final round before easily accounting for Swan Districts in the semi-final to gain entry to their first grand final since 2014.

With reigning Sandover medallist Hamish Brayshaw declared fit after overcoming a foot injury Sunday looks to be the best chance for the Royals to claim their first premiership since completing their historic threepeat in 2002.

In their way stands Peel Thunder, who will be looking for redemption after last season’s loss to East Fremantle in the decider, chasing their first flag in five years.

With several Fremantle-listed players, their underdog status should not be underestimated and are set to be boosted by the returns of Will Brodie and Nathan Wilson.

Whether the Royals claim the crown to cap-off their year or it will be the Thunder clapping at the final siren don’t miss your slice of history inside Monday’s The West Australian.
