Liverpool have relegated Leicester with a 1-0 win at the King Power but will have to wait a while longer to be crowned Premier League champions after Arsenal routed Ipswich 4-0.

Runaway league leaders Liverpool need six more points to claim a record-equalling 20th title, but three would have been enough if Arsenal had lost at Ipswich.

That never looked likely after Leandro Trossard and Gabriel Martinelli gave Arsenal a 2-0 half-time lead at Portman Road.

Leif Davis was then sent off for a high challenge on the back of Bukayo Saka's calf, leading to Socceroo Cam Burgess coming on.

Saka played on but later limped off and wore an ice pack on the bench. However, manager Mikael Arteta said he hoped the England winger would be fit for the Champions League semi-final with Paris St Germain on 29 April.

Trossard scored again after the break and Ethan Nwaneri rounded off the win.

Ipswich now need to win all their remaining five matches, and for 17th-placed West Ham to lose all theirs, to stay up.

It is too late for Leicester whose match later on Sunday was preceded by a plane flying over the stadium displaying a banner reading "King Power clueless - sack the board".

The Foxes have suffered their second relegation in three seasons with coach Ruud van Nistelrooy losing 16 of his 20 league games in charge.

Nevertheless, Liverpool, whose late-season form has dropped off as the title nears, struggled to break down Leicester, finally scoring through Trent Alexander-Arnold in the 76th-minute.

Wolves ensured top-flight safety by beating Manchester United 1-0 , drawing level with them, after Pablo Sarabia's brilliant second half free kick.

A 15th league loss of the season is the most suffered by United since 1989-90 when they were beaten 16 times in England's old Division One. The eight home defeats are the worst since 1962-63.

"We have to score goals. We need to improve in that area of the game clearly. If you don't score goals, you don't win games," United coach Ruben Amorim said.

Wolves, meanwhile, made it five wins in a row in the Premier League - a new club best in the Premier League.

Chelsea moved up to fifth by rallying to beat Fulham 2-1 with two late goals at Craven Cottage.

After Alex Iwobi's goal in the 20th minute, Chelsea left it late to score twice through Tyrique George and Pedro Neto to win the west London derby and move into the final Champions League qualifying place, above Nottingham Forest on goal difference, having played a game more.

Forest play at Tottenham on Monday.
