Luka Doncic has recorded his 80th career triple-double with a season-high 45 points along with 13 assists and 11 rebounds, and Dallas beat Klay Thompson's former Golden State side 143-133 in a second visit to Chase Center in just more than a month.

Thompson hit two late three-pointers for seven in total and finished with 29 points after the Mavericks lost 120-117 in his emotional return on November 12.

His former Splash Brother Stephen Curry had 26 points and 10 assists for the Warriors (14-11) in a game added to the schedule once the teams were eliminated from the NBA Cup.

Doncic shot 16 for 23, making nine of his first 11 attempts with four triples on the way to 28 points by halftime for the Mavs (17-9), who won for the eighth time in their past nine games.

In Los Angeles, Anthony Davis had 40 points and 16 rebounds, LeBron James added 18 points in his return and the Lakers beat Memphis 116-110.

James also had eight rebounds, eight assists and five turnovers after missing the previous two games because of a left foot injury.

Austin Reaves scored 19 points for LA (14-12), who never trailed and led by 23 points in the second half.

Jaren Jackson Jr. scored 25 points for the Grizzlies (18-9), who had won four in a row. Ja Morant had 20 points, Zach Edey added 13 points and 10 rebounds and Luke Kennard had 12 points.

Davis compiled 22 points and 10 rebounds in the first half. He briefly left in the third quarter because of shoulder injury, then returned in the fourth and scored 12 critical points down the stretch.

The 31-year-old power forward has had at least 30 points and 10 boards in three of his last four games.

Earlier on Sunday, Jayson Tatum had 28 points and 12 rebounds and Boston cruised to a 112-98 victory over Washington.

Tatum had missed two of the Celtics' (21-5) previous four games with a knee issue but returned to help them win a seventh straight over the Wizards, and third in Washington this season.

He hit three baskets during a 15-0 run that spanned across the first and second quarters, including a pull-up three with four seconds left in the first to stretch Boston's lead to 11 points.

Payton Pritchard and Derrick White added 15 points apiece, while Jordan Poole led the Wizards, who have lost three in a row and 16 of 17, with 21 points.

Indiana, New York, Minnesota and Phoenix were victorious in other matches.
