There may be two rounds to go but the finals effectively start now for Fremantle as they look to keep their September fate in their own hands in a massive challenge against GWS on the road.

Liam Reidy will get his long-awaited debut as the Dockers look to keep their two-ruck structure allowing Luke Jackson to play up forward.

Josh Treacy is still a massive out for the side but Nathan O’Driscoll is back for the first time this season while former Docker Jesse Hogan looms as the danger man having put together an incredible season.

With their backs against the wall can Fremantle get it done on the road? Follow all the action live!

That’s where we’ll leave it

Another tough day for the Dockers who fall just short again.

All eyes will now turn to West Coast on Sunday too see if the Eagles can do the Dockers a favour by keeping Calrton out of the top eight.

Will be covering that much from just after 2pm. Until then by for now.

Longmuir speaks

“I saw it as two good sides having a real crack, they took a few more opportunities at home but we won’t feel too down about it,” he says.

“We’ve probably been a bit too cautious at times this season but today I thought we played the right way it was just our execution.

“The lack of composure in our front half has come back to bite us in the past three weeks.

“Jesse does a really good job of getting the match-up he wants, I was more disappointed with the ones where he was able to sneak out the back.”

FULL-TIME GWS 15.11 (101) FRE 14.8 (92)

Is that Freo’s final hopes over.

They fought hard and were brave but Hogan’s six goals was too much to overcome.

Brayshaw finished with 41 disposals and nine clearances but Tom Green and a huge second half with 13 clearances anf 40 dispoals.

Brent Daniels was unreal while Serong battled through a tag from Toby Bedford to finish with 24 disposals two goals and 10 clearances.

A minute to go

Time is running out here. There’s a throw-in at half-froward for the Dockers but the Giants come up with the ball ant that will just about do it.

Bailey Banfield what have you done?

Cox sags off his man to allow Hogan to take the pressure relieving mark in the middle.

The Giants scrub some time off the clock as Hogan works forward of the ball to take the mark at half-forward.

But Banfield just jumper-punches him after he takes the mark to give away 50 allowing Hogan to kick his sixth.

Absolute coach killer.

Frederick hits back

He’s been the Dockers’ most dangerous small forward as Bailey Banfield who’s low on confidence passes it off to Frederick to have the snap and he nails it.

Goal for goal at the moment.

Callan Ward gets his first

The Giants get first use out of the contest on the wing with smart work from Darcy Jones who centres the ball where Cox spoils when he could have marked.

Draper grabs the crumb but can’t fend off the second tackle to be caught by Coniligo who kicks to Wardwho guides it through.

Giants make their sub

Stone on McMullen off. A tactical change.
