Round 3 team line-ups: Fremantle Dockers name unchanged line-up as Matt Taberner recovers from back concerns

Matt Taberner has shaken off troublesome back spasms as the Dockers named an unchanged team to take on Adelaide in tomorrow’s Good Friday clash.

Fremantle are 2-0 for the first time since 2015 and have a huge chance to remain unbeaten across the first month of the AFL as they face the under-pressure Crows.

They will go in with an un-changed line-up for the first time since rounds eight and nine last year with Jaeger O’Meara likely to be the sub again.

Taberner retaining his spot means the Dockers will stick with three talls alongside Jye Amiss and Josh Treacy despite the trio struggling to find the groove at times against North Melbourne with Amiss kicking just one goal late in the fourth quarter.

However, Justin Longmuir said he liked the structure they provided in front of the ball and the flexibility to rotate them through the forward line.

Nat Fyfe is also fit to play after being subbed out late against the Roos as the Dockers look to manage his playing time after injury-riddled seasons.

Alex Pearce is set for another big task likely lining up on Taylor Walker after keeping Nick Larkey to just one goal last week.

Adelaide are without a win as coach Matthew Nicks blamed “mental issues” behind the club’s poor start as they look to return to finals for the first time since 2017.

Sam Berry has been dropped with Jordan Butts the latest injury to their backline with Lachlan Sholl and James Borlase coming in.

There will be no homecoming just yet for Daniel Curtin with the top WA draft pick yet to feature this season despite several injuries to Adelaide’s defence to start the year.
