Storm warning downgraded

The BoM has downgraded the severe thunderstorm warning.

“Severe thunderstorms are no longer affecting Greater Perth. The immediate threat of severe thunderstorms has passed, but the situation will continue to be monitored and further warnings will be issued if necessary.”

More than 50 flights are delayed due to the bad weather.

Reports of building damages

DFES has received over 75 requests for assistance for damaged buildings, carports and water ingress. State Emergency Service volunteers are responding to these requests.

Parts of the Lower West, South West, Great Southern, Central West and Central Wheat Belt districts are at risk

The Bureau of Meteorology has advised that parts of the Lower West, South West, Great Southern, Central West and Central Wheat Belt districts are likely to produce heavy, locally intense rainfall that may lead to dangerous and life-threatening flash flooding, damaging winds and large hailstones.

The severe weather is expected to continue for the next several hours.

Vehicle rollover causes heavy traffic on Kwinana freeway

There is a vehicle rollover on the Kwinana freeway northbound causing the right lane to be blocked. Ambulance on site.
