Summer is about to explode on Perth early with temperatures hitting the high 30s next week.

The city will bathe in gorgeous mid-to-high 20s weather from Friday through to Sunday before the mercury smashes through the 30C barrier, peaking at 33C on Monday.

From there, its off to the beach with a warm minimum of 18C on Tuesday being followed by a sweltering 35C.

And it doesn’t end there, with October waving goodbye with a boiling 37C on Wednesday and Thursday.

It’s a far cry from the October average of between 22C to 25C.

In fact, the searing heat could give the record for the hottest day ever recorded in Perth in October a huge nudge — 37.3C in 1967.

The overnight temperatures will offer little relief, with 21C on Wednesday and 22C on Thursday.

But things cool off on the first day of November on Friday when the temperature falls to a more comfortable 27C.

It continues to drop into the weekend, with the long-term forecast having next Saturday peaking at 22C and Sunday at 23C, with rain expected on both days.

But before then — and before the hot weather hits — Perth residents can take in lovely days of 24C this Saturday and 28C on Sunday.
