Wild dog review 'comprehensive'
In an urgent bid to save the Australian wool industry from one of its biggest threats, wild dogs, a review has been made available to identify the key issues.
The WoolProducers Australia annual review contains the industry's most comprehensive barometer of the health of the industry, reflecting the views of some 55,000 levy-paying woolgrowers.
It contains insights from all six State farming organisations and all of the main national organisations.
"A draft of WoolProducers Australia's National Wild Dog Plan will soon be available for public consultation with the final plan to be ready by March 2014," WoolProducers Australia president Geoff Power said.
"The wool industry is facing a crisis not seen before in its history and urgent measures are need to combat wild dogs."
