Perth traffic: Crashes and a breakdown cause heavy congestion
Traffic is starting to flow again as emergency services clear up several crashes.
Motorists are finding the going easier in Perth’s south after a crash on Armadale Road westbound near Tapper Road in Banjup caused the partial blocking of the left lane.
Main Roads said that the wreckage had now been cleared.
Another crash on Kwinana Freeway southbound before South Terrace in Como also caused headaches, closing the right lane.
Tow trucks have been to the scene and authorities have cleared debris, allowing traffic to flow once more but be warned that it is still heavy on approach.
Trarffic also remains heavy on Kwinana Freeway northbound at Leach Highway in Bateman after a crash.
But congestion will continue to ease with the lane cleared.
Traffic is also still heavy on Mitchell Freeway southbound before Reid Highway in Hamersley after a crash. However, it too has been cleared and motorists will find congestion eases.
Drivers are now getting a smooth run on Leach Highway eastbound at Stock Road in Palmyra after a truck breakdown.
