Magnitude 3.0 earthquake rattles regional Victoria
An earthquake has rattled Victoria on Saturday morning with dozens of people reporting feeling the event.
The Seismology Research Centre said the 3.0 magnitude earthquake was recorded in the Lerderderg State Park, northwest of Melbourne at about 10.45am.
A magnitude 1.6 aftershock followed the initial quake, the centre added.
According to Geoscience Australia, the 3.2 magnitude earthquake was recorded at a depth of 1km
Late Saturday morning, 55 people recorded feeling the earthquake with Geoscience Australia.
The Victorian SES said it was not anticipating any damage.
