One lucky Western Australian has taken out the entire $30 million jackpot in Tuesday’s multi-million dollar Oz Lotto draw.

The ticket was the only Division One winner from across the country and follows a string of recent wins, including a WA ticket winning the entire $40 million Powerball jackpot last month.

The $30 million winning ticket was purchased from Lotterywest online.

Lotterywest CEO Ralph Addis said it’s been an incredible start to 2023 for Lotto in WA, with a total of 29 Division One wins across all Lotto games so far - an average of two big wins per week.

“We’re absolutely thrilled to welcome yet another big win for WA, only a few weeks after celebrating a Swan Valley family taking home $40 million in Powerball,” he said.

“The WA community is also a winner following tonight’s draw, with more than $1.27 million raised thanks to players over the five-week jackpot roll which will contribute to our grants program.”

Across the State, two OZ Lotto players will take home a Division Two prize each worth more than $64,000 and both purchased through Lotterywest online.

The winning numbers were: 19, 47, 15, 46, 12, 9 and 21 with the supplementary numbers 16, 34 and 30.

The Oz Lotto draw 1521 was the biggest prize offered by the Tuesday game this year.

Lotto spokesperson Matt Hart told 7News earlier today that this makes the sixth division one Oz Lotto win for 2023.

“We’ve had a steady stream of Oz Lotto division one wins so far this year, which is why we haven’t seen the jackpot climb too high… until now,” he said.

“This $30 million prize is the highest Oz Lotto has reached so far in 2023.”

More than 24 West Aussies have become lotto millionaires this year including a father who unknowingly walked around with the winning $40 million ticket in his pocket for a week.

He bought the ticket, a Slikpik 18, from Springs News in Bennett Springs just an hour before the draw closed as a last-minute decision.

The father treated his family to fish and chips for dinner after the colossal win.

“I was in complete disbelief and shock when the retailer explained I had the winning ticket,” he said.

“We’re a tight family and will share the win together, making sure our kids and grandkids are looked after.”

Three lucky West Aussies also won a share in a $20 million Superdraw last month, taking home $2.5 million each.

One of the State’s winning tickets was sold from Riverton Forum Lottery Kiosk and the other two were purchased online.

The Easter long weekend proved lucky for another three West Aussies who won $582,000 each in Saturday night’s Lotto.

Last year, a group of 20 work friends from Kalgoorlie-Boulder took home a combined total of $53 million.

One of the syndicate members, Peter, said he checked the ticket about 10 times.

“It’s changed everybody’s life. What will we do when we get the money, yeah. It’s a lot of money,” he said.

Christmas came early for the ladies of Curves gym in Beldon in 2021 when a syndicate organised by owner Sue scooped the $80 million Powerball jackpot.

“This was the first time we’ve done it (the syndicate) in three years, so it was just a spur of the moment thing. I said to the ladies ‘$80 million girls, we’ve got to be in it. Someone’s got to win it so why not us’?”
