CBC showing the way in keen battle for top spot in men’s second division

CBC boast a percentage lead in the Kalgoorlie-Boulder Basketball Association’s men’s division two competition after holding off Spartans White 43-41 in last week’s sixth round.

In a tight finish, Jake Coysh got CBC across the line with a game-high 17 points.

It was the squad’s fourth win of the season.

Spartans Green are second, also with four wins — despite lowering their colours against Saints Red, 62-45.

In this Friday night’s round of women’s first division action, Olympians chase a fifth straight win to open the season against Saints at 6.15pm.

Saints lead the men’s division one ladder.

Saints d Olympians 54-43; Saints Red d Spartans Green 62-45; CBC d Spartans White 43-41.

Men’s division 3:

Spartans d CBC (4) 73-44; CBC (3) d Olympians (1) 41-40; Olympians (2) d CBC (1) 67-30.

Women’s division 2:

Olympians d CBC 47-22; Saints d Spartans 41-25.

Women’s division 3:

Olympians (2) d CBC (2) 46-35; Olympians (1) d Spartans White 48-16; CBC (1) d Spartans Green 37-29.
