A doctor has pleaded guilty to his part in a plan to kill a severely disabled six-year-old girl via a drug overdose.

Pieter Theunis Austin, 47, pleaded guilty to attempting to unlawfully kill the girl in Stirling Gardens Magistrates Court in Perth on Wednesday.

Dr Austin was remanded in custody to face a sentencing hearing in the Supreme Court on December 14.

The girl’s mother, who cannot be named, was also charged with the same offence, but she previously pleaded not guilty and is due back in court in November.
