Jen Pegrum is no amateur when it comes to Christmas lights.

For more than 20 years, the grandmother has decorated her High Wycombe home with dozens of quintessential Aussie icons like Bluey, the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Santa on the barbie in celebration of Christmas Down Under.

“My hubby has made a Santa on the roof with six white boomers, so we’ve got the kangaroos flying off the roof this year ... I don’t think anyone else in Australia has that,” she told The Sunday Times.

“We’ve also got Santa with a beer and a barbecue . . . and we’ve got echidnas, platypus’, sharks and even a little Nemo underneath the Sydney Harbour Bridge.”

What started as a small hobby has now snowballed into an annual tradition, with hundreds of colourful lights, signs and blow-up statues wrapping around her entire front yard each year.

But hanging up hundreds of Christmas lights is no small feat.

According to Ms Pegrum, decorations begin to go up on October 1, giving her two whole months to fill her garden with trinkets before celebrations officially start on December 1.

“It takes a couple of months because we just do a couple of sets (of lights) each day so it makes it easy on us,” she said.

“We finished it this week and we tested it last Sunday night.

“My grandchildren just absolutely love it ... they’re always out saying hello to people.

“We’ve got a game where people try and spot the ‘2024 Santas’ and two naughty elves and you can hear everyone counting ... it’s really great.”

Christmas house-hunters can visit Ms Pegrum’s dazzling display at 9 Palmer Cresecent, High Wycombe.
