Manly prop Toff Sipley will miss his side’s historic trip to Las Vegas after he accepted a three match ban for an ugly crusher tackle on Dom Young that saw the Roosters winger taken from Industree Group Stadium on a stretcher, while a Warriors youngster is facing a monster five-match ban after he was sent off on Sunday.

Sipley was hit with a grade two charge for the incident and was lucky to stay on the field, with the experienced forward set to miss matches against the Rabbitohs, Roosters and Eels, before he’s cleared to return against the Dragons.

Young was taken from the dressing sheds on Saturday evening on a stretcher following the game for scans and after originally being cleared of any serious injury, further tests revealed more damage which has ruled him out of a Roosters debut in Vegas.

“He’s good, it’s just when you’re dealing with the neck, you want to be precautionary so he’s just gone to the hospital to get a scan,” Roosters coach Trent Robinson said after the game.

“He was good in there (in the sheds) talking and sitting up and all that, but they just want to keep it stable just so we know what’s exactly wrong with it.

“But he was in good spirits and he was fine.”

The Roosters fly out to America on Wednesday without their towering winger, while the Sea Eagles will also leave Sydney that day minus one of their most important middle forwards.

“I thought it was accidental and didn’t look good,” Robinson said when asked about the tackle.

“There was a lot of force at that point.

“I don’t know what their (the referees) thought process is during the trial games…so I don’t really have an opinion on that apart from exactly how it was.

“It wasn’t intentional, but it was a lot of force on his neck.”

Meanwhile, Warriors youngster Zyon Maiu’u is facing a 4 or 5 game ban after he was whacked with a grade two reckless high tackle charge for a sickening shot on Declan Casey.

The Tigers recruit was taken from the field on a medicab and Maiu’u was sent off having just come on which saw the Warriors play the final 60 minutes with 12 men.

They scored twice to set up a thrilling finish, but lost 18-16, with Maiu’u now set for a lengthy stint on the sidelines. An early guilty plea will result in a four-match suspension.
