Rendezvous Film Club

It’s certainty the season for outdoor cinemas, as another joins the ranks, this time on the rooftop of the Rendezvous Hotel Scarborough. Against spectacular views of the Indian Ocean, and hopefully a stunning sunset, movie-goers can enjoy cult favourite films while sipping Four Pillars cocktails and snacking on platters. Home Alone 2, When Harry Met Sally, Elf and Die Hard are among some of the films showing. Tickets at rendezvousperthscarborough.com.au/film-club

Chicago cocktails

Chicago the Musical arrives in town on November 21, and if you really want to get into the spirit (pardon the pun) head to Varnish on King and Hadiqa for themed cocktails using a special All That Jazz gin. Distillery The Spirit of Little Things and Sneakers and Jeans Hospitality Group worked together on the gin, which includes spice, ginger, fresh cucumber and native jungle limes, pepper berry and local Geraldton wax. The gin will be served at S&J venues and the themed cocktails will be available until December 16.

We The Earth

Sally Tam-Hadi grew up witnessing the various facets of fast fashion, both its virtues and vices, as her father manufactured clothing for some of the world’s biggest retailers. Decades later, she has transformed this formative experience into a passion for sustainable fashion and co-launched a Perth-based brand with her father, We The Earth.

“We hope that more people realise the power of their actions — that caring for the Earth is not a ‘hippie’ thing; it’s a survival thing. We aspire to see people shop mindfully, make informed choices, and that our work, both behind the scenes and in the public eye, motivates people to act responsibly for the Earth,” Sally tells STM.

Kitchenaid x Alemais

The world’s most popular mixer brand is sure to be even more sought-after thanks to its collaboration with Aussie fashion house, Alemais. Known for its colourful and playful designs, the label splashes its whimsical touches to a 4.8L ceramic bowl as part of the stand mixer. The addition is limited edition, priced at $1199, more at kitchenaid.com.au

Natalie James Beauty

Brow trends may come and go (we’re crossing our fingers that 90s pencil-thin eyebrows won’t return) but a quality gel to keep them in place will never go out of style. After years of working as a brow technician, Perth-based Natalie James Beauty created this gel that will keep brows in place all day, for a neat look or a slick, laminated brow.
