The Maserati GranTurismo Folgore, arguably the most advanced vehicle in the brand’s history, is being used to celebrate the Trident brand’s 110th anniversary.

Just 110 examples of the limited-edition GranTurismo 110 Anniversario will be produced, split evenly across two colours: matte Rame Folgore (Copper Lightning) and Blu Inchiostro (Ink Blue).

Maserati Australia has confirmed just one example of each finish is coming here, though it’s yet to announce prices for the rare vehicles.

Compared to the GranTurismo Folgore upon which they’re based, the 110 Anniversario editions feature unique black- and copper-finished wheels, plus bespoke copper Trident and 110 badges on the C-pillars.

Rame Folgore versions feature unique ‘denim’ Econyl upholstery with copper stitching, while Blu Inchiostro examples have black Econyl and blue contrast stitching.

There are no changes under the skin, which means the Folgore-based limited-edition models continue to be powered by three electric motors for a total system output of 560kW (610kW on overboost) and 1350Nm.

The motors are fed by a 92.5kWh battery pack with a WLTP-claimed range of 450km.

Maserati is yet to price the standard GranTurismo Folgore for Australia.
