2021 Hyundai Kona pricing and specifications
Hyundai has revealed the 2021 Kona small SUV, with sporty new N-Line variants the biggest updates.
The six-variant range starts at $26,600 for the new base model — simply called Kona — which is a $1900 rise.
For the money, standard gear includes Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, an 8.0-inch multimedia system, rear camera, 4.2-inch TFT colour Supervision instrument cluster display, LED daytime running lights, wireless phone charging, tyre pressure monitoring, roof rails and alloy wheels.
Safety gear across the range includes forward collision-avoidance assist, lane following assist, adaptive cruise control with stop and and more.
The Active adds leather appointed seats, steering wheel and gear knob, a rear park assist system, power folding and heated exterior mirrors and more, while the Elite brings a 10.25-inch satellite navigation system, Harman Kardon eight-speaker premium audio, climate control, a smart key with push button and remote start and other features.
The flagship Highlander’s additions include a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, heated and ventilated front seats, heated rear outboard seats, heated steering wheel and head-up display.
The Kona, Active, Elite and Highlander variants all have a 110kW/180Nm 2.0-litre petrol engine paired to a continuously variable transmission drivign the front wheels.
The new N-Line and N-Line Premium trims score an all-new 146kW/265Nm 1.6-litre turbo engine with a dual-clutch automatic transmission, all-wheel drive, multi-link rear suspension arrangement and 18-inch sports alloy wheels wrapped in Continental tyres.
Both score sporty accoutrements such as red stitching and exterior highlights, with the N-Line’s specification mirroring the Elite and the N-Line Premium matching the Highlander.
The line-up will be complimented by an updated Kona EV in March and the genuinely hot Kona N performance variant later this year.
