JoJo Siwa, Kath Ebbs shock split: Aussie breaks silence as Chris Hughes Big Brother ‘cheating’ rumour erupts

Australian performer Kath Ebbs is reeling after being unceremoniously dumped by their partner, global superstar JoJo Siwa, following Siwa’s stint on Celebrity Big Brother.

Just hours after supporting the Karma singer at the show’s finale, Ebbs was left heartbroken at the after party, triggering an outpouring of sympathy online.

Siwa, 21, has since been linked to fellow housemate Chris Hughes, 32, with speculation about a romance between the pair running rampant since their flirty friendship was aired on TV.

During the show, the pair have been seen massaging one another, with Siwa even licking chocolate off Hughes’ shorts, while they jokingly referred to her as his “girlfriend.”

Clips that weren’t aired during the main show saw Hughes and Siwa in bed together with the reality star lying on Siwa’s chest before they pulled the duvet over their heads.

After rumours of their split circulated, the 28-year-old made the difficult decision to speak out.

Speaking in a video posted to their Instagram story, Ebbs said it was difficult to address “after two weeks of sitting back watching certain things unfold and not being able to get any clarity from the person who it involved”.

“I don’t even know where to begin. I am filming this in a complete state of shock,” Ebbs said.

Following the split, Ebbs has unfollowed Siwa on Instagram and has engaged with a number of social media comments which infer that Siwa’s relationship with Hughes might have been more than platonic.

“I think we can all finally agree that this is more than a friendship,” one viewer wrote on TikTok:

“This feels like cheating... Why are people supporting this? She (Siwa) has a partner. Why is she cuddling him in bed and letting him kiss her cheek?” wrote another.

Ebbs had posted on TikTok during the show praising their partner.

The reality of the situation came crashing down after the Celebrity Big Brother finale when Ebbs supported Siwa, but at the afterparty, was dumped.

Addressing their departure from the party, the Dance Moms star’s now ex said it was “crazy to say” that they would now be heading their separate ways.

“In the last eight hours I flew here and I went to the live show to show up for my partner and support them in their experience and then later on address my feelings of hurt and work through them,” Ebbs said.

“I guess I feel further humiliated.”

Speaking of feeling confused with how quickly the relationship came crashing down, Ebbs expressed that they were victim to “some version of love bombing”.

“I guess in an odd way, I don’t know whether to call it love bombing or whatever but it seems to me I have experienced a version of that. Being told I am the love of someone’s life, being asked to marry them before this social experiment,” Ebbs explained.

“Being adored throughout behind closed doors.”

“I was told that there are “confused feelings there” take from that what you will and that they had realised in the house that I wasn’t the person that they wanted to spend the foreseeable,” Ebbs said.

“Being hurt by what I saw but wanting to work through it and have a conversation and get clarity”.

Siwa has yet to publicly comment on Ebbs’ video.

The dumping comes just months after it was confirmed Siwa was with Ebbs, and just weeks after Siwa visited Australia to spend Mardi Gras with Ebbs.
