The Weather Bureau has cancelled a severe weather warning for the South West of the State.

The warning had covered people southwest of a line from Bunbury to Walpole, including Walpole, Augusta, Margaret River, Busselton, Bunbury, and Manjimup.

A strong cold front has moved over the South West district.

It will move over the remaining south west land division during today, bringing gusty winds and showers over areas southwest of a line from Kalbarri to Israelite Bay by the evening.

Dangerous gusts are no longer expected.

The Weather Bureau says the situation will be monitored and further warnings will be issued if necessary.
